Core Attachment Therapy © (CAT) Certification Levels

CAT© Overview with NHA® (Level 1)
This level introduces the participants to the two key components of Core Attachment Therapy©. It is a two-day training, both virtual and 6 hours each. Day One/Component 1 is The Nurtured Heart Approach®. You will learn this methodology as a stand-alone training or you can continue to Day 2/Component 2 which walks you through the process of the attachment games involved in Core Attachment Therapy©. At completion you will receive 12 CEU’s.

CAT© Certified Practitioner (Level 2)
This is for those of you who want to continue learning about Core Attachment Therapy© and take a deeper dive into understanding more about attachment development, trauma and what to look for in the children’s responses to their attachment to their parents. It starts with the 6-hour intro to NHA® and then continues with self-paced module learning where you will learn each of the attachment games (9 total), one week at a time while you simultaneously use it with a client who meets the criteria for this process. These games are designed to match the natural process of attachment development in 3 distinct phases. At the completion of the course, you will get a certificate of attendance and 17 CEU’s you want to continue on to become a Certified Core Attachment Therapist, one more case study will be required. This final case study will give you an additional 3 CEU’s.

Utilize The Nurtured Heart Approach® to facilitate therapeutic powers of play via attachment model.
Utilize a developmental model to aid in the healing of developmental trauma through a play therapy approach.
Predict behaviors of attachment disruption in play therapy settings.
Select each of the 4 therapeutic powers of play with the therapeutic outcomes of Core Attachment Therapy©.
